| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study "undertaken to determine the product effectiveness of three experimental and four registered insecticides to suppress first generation annual bluegrass weevil (ABW)." Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "the turfgrass area consisted of annual bluegrass (70%) and perennial ryegrass (30%)." Lists treatments evaluated in the study, including Acelepryn 1.67SC, Talstar GC F, Acelepryn 312-0.167G, Talstar 0.2G GC, and Scotts SummerGuard (bifenthrin 0.086G). Reports that "all treatments applied provided significant reduction of ABW but Arena 50WDG applied at 0.2 lb [pounds] (AI [active ingredient])/acre provided the least amt [amount] of control. ABW surface feeding damage ratings were all significant when compared with the untreated check. No phytotoxicity was noted." |
