| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to evaluated the efficacy of several insecticides "for control of southern masked chafer (SMC) grubs on a Kentucky bluegrass rough." Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "the turf (100% Kentucky bluegrass) was maintained at a ht [height] of 2.5 inches. Thatch accumulation (finger compressed) in the plot area was 0.5 inch. Lists treatments evaluated in the study, including Acelepryn, Merit 75WP, Merit GranFert, DPX-QKC88-001, Merit 0.5G, and Grub-Ex. Reports that "all treatments provided statstically significant reductions in the amount of SMC grubs when compared to the untreated check...No phytotoxicity was observed." |
