Abstract/Contents: | "Two new systemic fungicides, triarimol and 1,2-bis(3-methoxycarbonyl-2-thioureido)benzene, along with benomyl, gave excellent control of stripe smut of 'Merion' Kentucky bluegrass when they were drenched into the root zone. A fourth systmeic fungicide, 1,2-bis(3-ethoxycarbonyl-2-thioureido)benzene, was not effective in controlling stripe smut. Control was obtained with fungicide applications made during the growing season rather than when the grass was dormant." |
