Abstract/Contents: | Describes Geelong Racecourse's $2 million turf and drainage upgrade in 1997. States that "researchers in several countries are now providing evidence as to why horses find transition bends easier to negotiate with far less stress" to justify the course's construction of "more acceptable camber on the turns." Following construction, Anco Seed and Turf offered to carry out maintenance of the new grass in its first month, a job that "included watering, fertilising [fertilizing] and mowing the new turf to a height of 50 millimetres [millimeters]." |
