Abstract/Contents: | Examines recommendations for the use of gypsum in turfgrass management. Three reasons to use gypsum on turf include: 1) To improve soil structure, 2) To supply the turfgrass with additional sufur, and 3) To achieve the proper balance among exchangeable calcium, magnesium and potassium in soil. It is important to conduct soil tests before recommending use of gypsum. |
