Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the use of petals of the geranium Pelargonium zonale in controlling the Japanese beetle. Explains that "within 30 minutes of eating the petals...Japanese beetles are paralyzed and will remain that way for several hours. Under laboratory conditions, the beetles recover within 24 hours, but paralysis in the field usually leads to death because the beetles are at the mercy of predators." |
