Abstract/Contents: | Defines biological control and outlines the potential benefits of its use in treating turfgrass diseases. Suggests that use of biological control methods may improve personal and environmental safety and delay fungicide resistance. Recommends implementing the use of microbial fungicides and biologically active composts in disease control programs as well as "plant breeding to improve resistance to the pathogen or suitability of the host plant to the antagonist." |
