Abstract/Contents:Presents a study conducted at the University of Arizona during 1964 to determine the "reactions to and recovery from" drought stress among several bermudagrass selections. Details methods and materials used during the experiment, stating that the selections "[were] maintained as general purpose turf with one inch average mowing height through 1968." Reports that Tiflawn and B184 "reacted similarly to stress and to renewed moisture...B163 became dormant and lacked green color prior to the light July rains." Notes that Tiflawn's ability to maintain density and green color under severe moisture stress was "outstanding" in this trial, and provides a table illustrating the percent ground cover of each selection on August 30, October 2, and November 23 of 1968.
