Abstract/Contents: | Briefly mentions a pictorial feature which is present in the Summer of 1939 edition of The Agrostologist, detailing that it discusses "a common fungoid organism known as Fusarium nivale." Explains the effects of the disease, stressing the importance for groundsmen to "learn to distinguish diseased patches of turf from discoloured [discolored] areas due to wear and tear or adverse weather conditions." Concludes that "the photographs on pages xiv and xv [14 and 15] should help the groundsman in this task." |
