States that WRAPS aims to "address watershed issues within an area that represents a large part of the state's population together with the associated water quality issues for the Kansas River." Briefly details the support of the United States Environmental Protection Agency for these organizations, "as a means to work with the Clean Water Act (CWA) and in some cases distribute and mange [manage] CWA section 319 grant monies." Summarizes a golf course superintendent's involvement with a local watershed, and concludes that "watershed organizations play an important role in management of this country's water resources...Golf professionals have that [the] opportunity to help make a difference not only for our natural resources, but for the game as well." |
