| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the possibility that pesticide spray volumes may influence the product's performance. States that "pesticide manufactures have made a concerted effort to develop pesticide formulations that enable pesticide applicators to dramatically reduce spray volumes." Explains that "depending on the mode of action, most fungicides should be applied at spray volumes between 1-2 gallons per 1000 square feet." Warns against "tank-mix combinations of control products," indicating that "certain control products require specific application spray volumes, and when they are not applied accordingly, their performance is jeopardized." Addresses the selection of a spray tip as its "size directly affects droplet size." Recommends reading the pesticide label in order to know the recommended spray volume. |
