Abstract/Contents: | Profiles the damage Victoria, Australia received from flooding and locust plagues in 2011. Discusses how locusts swarmed the area before the growing season officially started which impaired the turfs growth. Describes the effects Melbourne golf courses saw after more than 140 millimeters fell in less than 12 hours. Lists the concerns the water brought to the courses, including silt deposits on the fairways and water pooling in low areas on the green. Explains the methods they used to repair these damages on the course. |
