Abstract/Contents:Presents research conducted to "save water and promote turf quality through better irrigation practices." Identifies the first process as determining the crop coefficients, of which the red fescue was the highest due to higher surface temperatures and more wind exposure. Notes that the second objective was to develop deficit irrigation strategies, and to demonstrate an irrigation system with an 80 percent distribution uniformity rate. Concludes that the final objective is to produce a 'Scandinavian Turfgrass Irrigation Handbook'.
