Abstract/Contents:Suggests that "the regular use of Primo MAXX during the growing season would reduce snow mould [mold] infection during the subsequent winter and lead to faster green-up of greens and fairways in the next spring." States that "it may be that the growth regulator gives rise to stronger plants with larger pools of storage carbohydrates before the winter." Describes a study to "further elucidate the effects of Primo MAXX on disease susceptibility...and to determine whether fungicide programmes [programs] can be reduced or improved with the inclusion of Primo MAXX." Concludes that "Primo MAXX reduced clipping yield by 27% and increased turfgrass ball distance by about 3% on the red fescue green."
