Abstract/Contents:Describes the Water and Turf Efficiency and Use Reduction for the Future (WATEURF) Program, led by the Scandinavian Turfgrass and Environment Research Foundation. Explains that "the network was initiated to bring stakeholders and researchers together around the issues of water and turf, and to define a strategic research agenda related to sustainable use of water in the maintenance of turfgrass." States that "WATEURf's goal is to provide science-based information on integrated management practices, based on existing knowledge and new research results, to reduce water consumption, protect water quality, and document the effects of well-managed turfgrass areas on water resources."
