Abstract/Contents:Presents research conducted at the University of Georgia "to determine the influence of Fe [iron] carrier on turfgrass quality and color, and to determine effects of Fe and N [nitrogen] rates applied alone and in combination on phytotoxicity, quality, and color." Details the materials and methods used in the study, stating that "iron carriers were ferrous sulfate, ferrous ammonium sulfate, and Sequestrene 330, while the N source was urea." Reports that "minor differences occurred with respect to phytotoxicity but not visual quality or color." Concludes that "results show that Fe can improve centipedegrass color but that centipedegrass is very sensitive to phytotoxicity from Fe."
