Abstract/Contents:Presents research conducted at the University of Georgia "to determine the response of 'Tifway' bermudagrass during spring green-up to postemergence herbicides." Details the materials and methods used in the study, stating that metribuzin, atrazine, simazine, and 2,4-D + MCPP + dicamba "was applied to 'Tifway' bermudagrass that was in the 0, 33, 66, and 99% [percent] green-up stage of growth." Reports that "atrazine decreased quality for four and three weeks when applied at the 66 and 99% green-up growth stage." Concludes that "these studies are being continued in 1988."
