| Abstract/Contents: | Presents research conducted at the University of California, Riverside to "[evaluate] fungicides for the control of dollar spot [caused by Sclerotinia homoeocarpa] in southern California." Details the materials and methods used in the study, stating that "a pool of 6 isolates of S. homoeocarpa, collected from southern California bentgrass greens in 2003 was used to infest the rye seed." Reports that "visually, plots treated with Tartan appeared very green due to the pigment contained in the fungicide." Concludes that "any treatment containing an SI [sterol-inhibiting] fungicide...and both BASF curative programs were equally effective in controlling the disease." |
