Abstract/Contents:Stresses the potential importance of communication between superintendents, golf professionals, and staff, claiming that without this communication, a facility will struggle to accomplish its goals and fulfill its mission statement. Suggests the need to meet the needs and expectations of the customer, and describes how effective communication can happen through letters, emails, surveys, and advisory boards. Describes a technique used by Rolling Meadows Golf Course in which they set up a meeting between members and staff and received beneficial feedback about processes and projects. Concludes that "the more people feel involved, the more loyalty they will have in the future."
