Abstract/Contents: | Overviews the question on whether or not to "roll back the ball." Highlights a few agronomic points to consider if the ball is the problem, such as the need to build longer courses, thinking that rolling back the ball will reduce maintenance costs, thinking that course conditions are too good, and the thought that a shorter ball is necessary to grow the game. Concludes that "it isn't only improvements in golf equipment that are responsible for longer shots." |
