Abstract/Contents:Describes Poa annua warm season maintenance, noting that it "ranges from careful and conservative management practices to a daily reading of my horoscope (any advantage has to be sought out!)" States that during late summer every year, Poa annua grass was turning off-color and thinning out. Reports that "despite our normal fungicide program, syringing, and a lot of soul searching, the problem worsened to the point that there was to the point that there was a danger of losing all poa on the greens, which ranges from 50-60 percent." Mentions that samples were taken of the grass and were sent out for expert analysis, returning back with results of athracnose. States that the course manager had taken changes to decrease the amount of the disease on the greens.
