| Abstract/Contents: | Provides advice on confronting two potential trends in the golf course industry: there are far too many golf courses and there are way more potential superintendents than there are jobs. Details that about 2,500 of the worst run golf courses could afford to shut down, yet because this is impossible the problem is something the industry has to manage through. Overviews likely job openings in the industry per year and how opportunities get small quickly. Suggests that older superintendents, especially those in the fifties, need to constantly be self-aware of the trends taking place. |
