Abstract/Contents:Discusses how golf courses are designed and whether they should be designed to offer more or less difficultly to different groups of golfers. States the professional players often want courses to be designed to play to their strengths and not to their weaknesses. Notes that as golf because more of a public sport, courses were designed to be easier and faster to play. States that "it became standard architectural policy to 'tax' the (talent) rich more than average players" by placing obstacles in the landing zones of more skilled players rather than those of average players.
