| Abstract/Contents: | "Dollar spot symptoms were slow to develop. Symptoms did not appear in untreated plots until early September. Despite the low level of dollar spot incidence at the first rating, all composts and organic fertilizers tested, with the exception of MH manure compost and the 21-da Endicott compost reduced the number of dollar spot infection foci (Table 1). Level of control among all composts tested ranged from 33-100%. By 63 da after the last application in August, disease incidence was considerably greater. However, there was considerable variability among replicates. As a result, none of the treatments provided statistically significant levels of dollar spot suppression as compared with untreated plots. The level of control among all composts and organic fertilizers tested ranged from 0 - 49.8%. Although differences among treatments were not statistically significant, fewer dollar spot infection foci were found in plots treated with Sustane, Compost Plus, 2.5-yr Endicott sludge or propiconazole." |
