Abstract/Contents:Discusses the prediction that due to the addition of golf to the Olympics that China will increase the number of golf courses they build in order to be competitive in golf. Notes the two biggest challenges that may delay the building of more golf courses in China: that China has land but much of it is nearly uninhabitable due to climate and-or absence of reliable rainfall, and that having water to drink is becoming a major concern. Profiles the water transport system China is building to redirect runoff water from the Yarlung Tsangpo river. States that "China will see continued demand for existing courses...Adding more courses is going to be a very selective affair."
