| Abstract/Contents: | "Management strategies for creeping bentgrass and zoysiagrass continue to evolve as turfgrass educators,researchers and practitioners focus on new and innovative practices and germplasm. Recent advances in creeping bentgrass have centered on morphological differences among new and old commercial bentgrass cultivars,disease epidemiology and control practices, elucidation of physiological responses and mechanisms to better understand and adjust cultural practices,and the use of innovative cultivation practices to enhance bentgrass performance.In zoysiagrass,recent reports have dealt with the performance of new seeded and vegetative zoysiagrass cultivars, zoysiagrass disease epidemiology and control practices, and the use of novel cultivation practices to enhance zoysiagrass performance.These and other recent innovations in turfgrass science and culture will be discussed to inform and report to the audience." |
