Reviews and comments on several corollary recommendations, including "pump on the nitrogen [N] with weekly or bi-weekly applications that total 12 lb [pound] N/M or more the first year"; "resiliency has to be created"; and "greens should be flushed periodically to lower soluble salt concentrations." Highlights potential signs of failing greens, including that "the green is not draining properly and surface characteristics are those of black layer; thinning of the bentgrass and development of black algae mats." |
