| Abstract/Contents: | "The field experiment with Festuca arundinacea Zuzana, Barfelix and Palladio (sowing rate 210 kg.ha-1) in monocultures and in mixtures with Poa pratensis HIFI (23 or 90 kg.ha-1) was conducted in V trov (620 a.s.l, average annual temperature 6,9°C, average rainfall totals 642 mm). The swards were mowed on the height of 30 or 60 mm. Shoots number and weight per m2 were evaluated together with weight of dead straw during the first year. The results were analyzed by analysis of variance LSD = 0.05. The Barfelix variety had the lowest number of shoots in comparison with Zuzana and Palladio and biggest particular tillers (by 14-19% in comparison with the other varieties). The proportion of Poa pratensis tillers in the total amount in the mixtures was 26-35% (17-24% of total aboveground phytomass). The height of mowing did not influenced the swards density at the beginning of the lawn development." |
