| Abstract/Contents: | "A new chemical hybridizing agent GENESIS was field-tested for emasculation in Poa species. The results indicated that at the growth stage of 8.0~9.0 based on Feekes' standard GENESIS applied as a foliar spray at the rate of 1.5 kg/hm2 and 2.5 kg/hm2, 95% and 97% male-sterility flowers was [were] obtained, respectively in Poa pretensis [pratensis] var. anceps Gaud, whereas 100% effects were achieved for other varieties tested included Poa pretensis [pratensis] cv. Wabash, Stortpy and Monopoly." |
