| Abstract/Contents: | "How to make good use of water resources becomes a key issue in lawns management because shortage of water resources. With the increase of lawns area, saving water has been paid more attention to in their management. Water influences the growth of turfgrass, which shows a close relation between water and turf quality. Turf quality is an indicator to evaluate on beauty and healthiness of turf. Currently, there are many methods for evaluating turf quality, but are inaccurate and complex. The relationships between water and turf quality are analyzed but not quantified. This paper reviews the progress of turfgrass quality evaluation and the relationship between turfgrass quality and water and propose a functional equation to describe relationship between turfgrass quality and water in order to optimize quantity of water wanted, which is response to turfgrass quality." |
