Abstract/Contents: | "Callus induction of Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis) was studied by using the orthogonal test. It showed that MS salt supplemented with 1 mg/L 2,4-D, 0.1 mg/L 6-BA, 3 mg/L CuSO4, and 1 g/L Casein acids Hydrolysate(CH) is the best medium for 'Baron' and effect sequence of four auxins is 2,4-D>CuSO4>CH>6-BA. MS salt supplemented with 2 mg/L 2,4-D, 0 mg/L 6-BA, 3 mg/L CuSO4, and 1 g/L CH is the best medium for 'Midnight' and effect sequence of four auxins is 2,4-D>CH>CuSO4>6-BA. It is confirmed that medium from orthogonal test are the best ones for further research. It showed that the orthogonal test is a favorable way to study the callus induction medium of Kentucky bluegrass. At the same time, we advise embryonic callus induction rate as a guideline in turfgrass callus induction." |
