Abstract/Contents:"Six characteristics of 37 mutants of Cynodon dactylon are analyzed in this paper, which were created by using radiation induction from 1997 to 2002. The results showed that: 1) Significant differences existed in mutants that were induced by different radiation doses, the internode diameter of mutants induced by lower doses (6900 rads) were higher than that induced of mutants induced by higher doses (9000 rads), and the density of the mutants induced by low dose were lower than that of mutants induced by higher doses. The turf height of mutants induced by both doses were lower than that of the untreated accessions; 2) Obvious differences in physical inductive generation, and parent material occurred when induced several times by radiation, with subjects becoming erect with narrower leaves and lower turf height, with the internodes becoming thinner; 3) Abundant differences existed between different nodes of the stolon of the same materials which were induced at the same time with equal radiation doses."
