| Abstract/Contents: | "During the 1958-1959 season, 2,3,6-trichlorophenylacetic acid was applied to turf for pre-emergence control of crabgrass. Fall (October-November), winter (December-January) and spring (March-April) applications were made. Data includes crabgrass control, turfgrass injury and effect on spring and fall seedlings of turfgrasses, as related to the different dates of application. The effectiveness of 2,3,6-trichlorophenylacetic acid on other turf weeds (Poa annua, silver crabgrass, chickweed, etc.) is discussed." |
