Abstract/Contents:"Kentucky bluegrass and Bermudagrass were grown in nutrient solution cultures in which one of the elements - Ca, Mg, K, N, S, P, Fe, or B was (a) absent, (b) present in low concentrations, or (c) present in toxic concentrations. Generally these nutrient disorders resulted in a reduction or cessation of growth often accompanied by some leaf discolorations. A given disorder may be expressed by various symptoms, and symptoms of various disorders may be quite similar. Nevertheless, some symptoms appear to be quite characteristic and may actually permit an identification of the disorder. By correlating foliar analyses with leaf symptoms, the identification of the nutrient disorder will be facilitated."
