| Abstract/Contents: | "In 1969, there were consistent differences in the amount of leaf spot caused by Helminthosporium dictyoides in a number of lines of Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis) under four fertilizer-mowing treatments. In 1970, only one of the 20 lines showed any difference in the amount of disease. In the majority of lines, the disease was most severe under the high mowing-high fertilizer treatment, and least severe under the low mowing-low fertilizer treatment. The sugar content of the leaves and the severity of leaf spot in 3 lines of bluegrass were affected by the treatments, but there was no correlation between the two." |
