| Abstract/Contents: | "The soccer field in the stadium of Final Emilia, which we all remember as a tent village immediately after the earthquake that hit the Bassa Modenese region in 2012, has been fully remodelled to serve as an 11-player soccer field. The new sporting facility is managed by the Junior Finale sports club based on an agreement with the municipality of Finale Emilia which has played an active role in the requalification process headed by Csi Modena in collaboration with Uni-Credit, LND Servizi, the manufacturer of the artificial grass, and the building contractor. The inauguration ceremony was held in October with a friendly match between Us Sassuolo Calcio and Us San Felice. With the intervention, a full size soccer field covered with natural grass has been converted into a full size artificial grass field, with transverse lines marking the layouts of two 7-a-side fields. The latest generation grass is made of wear-proof and weather-proof polyethylene filaments, 600 mm (+ 2 mm) high, featuring fibres with a special 'memory' section that ensures a superior capacity to withstand the stress caused by intensive use by the players. The infill used for stabilisation purposes consists of rounded granules of silica sand, and the performance infill uses a 100% natural product of plant origin." |
