Abstract/Contents:"Fifteen species of cool-season turf grasses were evaluated by measuring growth characters and turf traits in Yangzhou. Results showed that Kentucky bluegrass were well adapted to the environment of Yangzhou. Corsair and Ginney II had the most excellent performance and were recommended for planting lawn. Perennial ryegrass could hardly survive the hot summer of Yangzhou. Tall fescue was introduced as an extensive lawn grass, in which both Plantation and Essential varieties had acceptable performance. Both A-1 and A-4 varieties of bentgrass grew well and suited for the introduction in Yangzhou district."
