Abstract/Contents:"The aim of this experiment was to compare dynamics of the assimilation pigments content of turf fertilized by various forms of fertilizers under non-irrigated conditions. The experiment was carried out in warm and dry conditions in area of Nitra. In the experiment we watched 4 variants (1. without fertilization, 2. saltpetre with dolomite, Superphosphate, Potassium salt, 3. slow release fertilizer SRF NPK 14-5-14 (+ 4CaO + 4MgO + 7S), 4. controlled release fertilizer Duslocote NPK (S) 13-9-18 (+ 6S)). Higher concentration of total chlorophyll a + b and total carotenoids reached fertilized variants by fertilizers Saltpetre with dolomite, Superphosphate and Potassium salt. The value of the ratio total chlorophyll a + b and total carotenoids were highest in variants fertilized SRF NPK 14-5-14 (+ 4CaO + 4MgO + 7S) and Duslocote NPK (S) 13-9-18 (+ 6S). This was reflected the resulting dark green coloring of turf. Comparing the species we found that family Festuca L. have a higher content of assimilation pigments such as Lolium perenne L. This finding is statistically significant."
