Abstract/Contents: | Over the past five years, most states have passed laws mandating or promoting recycling. "As a result, waste reduction goals have become an ubiquitous part of solid waste laws in recent years. Forty-two states including the District of Columbia, currently have goals in place, ranging from 25-70 percent." In addition, disposal bans on various materials such as grass clippings, leaves, brush, and other yard trimmings have been mandated in several states. |
