| Abstract/Contents: | "Effects of seedling period managements to spring sowing cold season turfgrass creeping bentgrass, kentucky bluegrass and tall fescue on the turf establishment quality were studied in Beijing Areas. The results showed that turf cover, seedling underground and aboveground biomass of three turfgrasses for supplied nitrogen + contro weed treatment were obviously higher and their establishment period was shorter than those for alone supplied nitrogen treatment or alone control weed treatment. Establishments were finished before the hot summer season coming in all of the management treatments for three turfgrasses with the exception of alone supplied nitrogen, alone control weed and control of the kentucky bluegrass. Plant tillers and turf densities were obviously increased by control weed treatment for all of three turfgrasses. Kentucky bluegrass was more sensitive to competion of weeds than creeping bent grass and tall fescue. Higher seedling underground, aboveground biomass and turf cover of kentucky bluegrass were getted from alone control weed treatment." |
