Abstract/Contents: | A reclamation project was conducted on an unused oil shale site in Scotland. Due to unburned shales the soil was highly acidic and had low fertility rates. The site was split into three areas, with different specifications. Through careful preparation and a good choice of seed mixtures Bob Mullen, a landscape architect, was able to to reclaim and improve the site. |
