Abstract/Contents: | The U.S. Senate and the media have made attacks on the lawn care industry about the health and safety of lawn care products. In order for the turf industry to survive this negative publicity the turf professionals should address the public and their customer with the truth. Through educating the public about turf maintenance and turf care products the turfgrass industry can maintain a positive image in spite of all the negative publicity it receives. Communication tools that can be used to address lawn care customers are given. An update is also given on current EPA activities on lawn care. |
