| Abstract/Contents: | No matter what type of business you are in, there are continuous changes to be made to keep up with changes in the economy, environment, and technology. Regardless of how often these changes have to be made managers and owners must be able to determine what effect the changes will have on their business, and what, when, and how big of an adjustment they need to make to accommodate the changes. It is being suggested that managers or owners draw upon specialized forward planning tools to accomplish these adjustments. These forward planning tools are as follows: 1. Appraisal of goals and objectives; 2. Inventory of resource availability; 3. Selection of alternatives to be analyzed; and 4. Methods for analyzing alternatives. The concept of these forward planning tools are discussed in further detail. |
