USGA Summary Points: | A set of 12 creeping bentgrass cultivars were evaluated for differences in germination traits at low (10°C) versus optimal (25°C) temperatures. Growth chambers were optimized for testing the effects of different light intensities and temperatures on seedling vigor and establishment. A novel method using chlorophyll fluorescence imaging was developed to improve photosynthetic efficiency screening of turfgrass seedlings. An international collaborative projecton spring re-establishment was initiated with the Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research (NIBIO) and the Scandinavian Turfgrass and Environment Research Foundation (STERF). |
