Abstract/Contents:Wilfrid Reid was a professional golfer as well as a course designer. Wilfrid Reid designed Indianwood (Old) golf course in 1928 and it was chosen as the host site for the WGA Western Open in 1930. Indianwood was chosen for its design layout which favored a British links course and its degree of difficulty. Reid was a designer but first and foremost he was a golf professional, he competed in lots of tournaments and even held the position of club professional at several golf courses. A brief profile of Indianwood and details of Reid's career path are given.
