Abstract/Contents: | "Pennsylvania State University and The Pennsylavania Turfgrass Council announced at the Penn State Golf Turf Conference that a new Turfgrass Science Museum will be formally dedicated to Thomas Mascaro and Eberhard Steiniger." The concept was conceived by Joe Duich. Mascaro spent 55 years as President of Turf-Tec International, which designs diagnostic turfgrass instruments for golf course superintendents to obtain factual information. Steinigier, Superintendent at Pine Valley Golf Club for all of 57 years, is known for converting a sand waste layout into the number one golf course in the world. Together, they have more than 20 inventions. |
