Abstract/Contents:"This study was conducted to evaluate the availability of livestock manure as functional fertilizer materials by investigating the growth and quality of creeping bentgrass after applying microelement fertilizer (MiF) containing livestock manure, iron (Fe) and zinc (Zn). Treatments were as follows. No fertilizer (NF), control fertilizer (CF), M1 (CF+1.0 mL m-2 MiF), M2 (CF+2.0 mL m-2 MiF), M3 (CF+4.0 mL m-2 MiF), and NM (2.0 mL m-2 MiF). Compared with NF, growth and quality of creeping bentrgass in NM treatment were not significantly different. After applying MiF, the quality and growth of creeping bentgrass and nutrient content in its leaf was similar to those of CF. However, correlation between Fe uptake amount in the turfgrass leaf and MiF treatments was significantly positive (P<0.05). These results indicated that MiF containing livestock manure, Fe and Zn might be applied on the creeping bentgrass, and expected an availability of livestock manure as another fertilizer source of various functional fertilizer."
