Abstract/Contents: | "Concrete pavers are a versatile paving material that has endless streetscape design possibilities due to the availability of many shapes, sizes and colours. Because of these visual characteristics, a paver surface can have a different texture or colour from that of a street or parking area. This distinguishes pedestrian areas from vehicular areas, providing a safe haven for the pedestrian, especially for those with a physical handicaps." |
