| Abstract/Contents: | "The focus of this study was to determine the applicability of Importance-Performance (I-P) analysis in evaluating golf operations. An ancillary purpose was to determine the I-P scale's appropropriateness [appropriateness] as a marketing tool. Using the responses of 300 members of the Pennsylvania State University Golf Club, four quadrant action grids for males and females were constructed using the mean scores of the importance ratings and performance ratings for each of the features or attributes under investigation. The results supported the use of the I-P scale and action grid as an instrument for a) evaluating services, and b) segmenting golfing operations based on demographic or behavioral factors." |
