| Abstract/Contents: | Contains summaries of new and ongoing research projects. Turfgrass mixture studies composed of Highland bent, Penncross creeping bent, and Emerald creeping bent, either alone or mixed with various percentages of red fescue, Kentucky bluegrass and turftype perennial ryegrass were ranked on color and the ability to withstand mild to heavy traffic conditions. Green fertilizer studies were given as it pertained to Poa annua percentages and Fusarium patch disease evaluations. Surfactant investigations of R 54 soil penetrant, Amway Spray Adjuvant, and Aqua-Gro were mentioned as it pertained to localized dry spot. Testing is being done to determine the effects of 42% Nortron flowable and 2.5% granular Endothal, and an experimental compound for selective post-emergent control of Poa annua and the phytotoxicity of these compounds. |
